ELMIRA, N.Y. (WTEM) - The National Weather Services out of Binghamton, NY and State College, PA have issued a HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FOR THE TWIN TIERS FROM 1:00PM WEDNESDAY UNTIL 1:00PM THURSDAY. At that point expect west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible. Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines, so widespread power outages are possible and travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on north/southbound roadways. Otherwise, when it's not raining expect mostly cloudy skies and a high in the low-60s with westerly gusty winds as high as 35-45mph or up 60mph within the stronger storm cells.
