SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The College Football Playoff (CFP) selection committee released its first rankings of the 2025 season on Tuesday night, and both Notre Dame and Indiana are ranked in the top 10.

The Fighting Irish (6-2) are at No. 10 while the Hoosiers (9-0) are at No. 2 — the same spots they were ranked in the most recent AP poll released this past Sunday .

If the playoff were to start today, Notre Dame would travel to No. 7 BYU for the first round. Indiana would then play the winner of that matchup in the quarterfinals

As for other regional teams in the CFP rankings, Michigan sits outside of the playoff bracket at No. 21.
