WINNECONNE, Wis. (WBAY) - Winnebago County officials, community partners, and conservation leaders gathered on Tuesday to highlight progress on the Van Dyke Breakwall Project, a major wetland restoration and shoreline protection effort underway along Lake Winneconne.

The project, led by the Winnebago County Land & Water Conservation Department (LWCD) in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), is designed to protect and restore fragile shoreline wetlands that have eroded over decades from wave action, wind, and ice.
