A UPS plane exploded on the runway during takeoff at the Louisville Airport, leaving at least three people dead and 11 others injured. Advertisement

The crash, which happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, caused a massive fire, with giant plumes of smoke spanning nearly a mile around the airport.

Two buildings were also impacted by the crash, which were Kentucky Petroleum Recycling and Grade A Auto Parts.

Two employees are believed to be missing at this time, according to Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear. That does not include customers who may have been inside the buildings at the time of the crash.
