ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — John Perticone defeated Republican Anthony Costanza on Tuesday to become Irondequoit’s next town supervisor, succeeding Andraé Evans amid a turbulent year in town politics.
The race for Irondequoit Town Supervisor pitted Democrat John Perticone against Republican Anthony Costanza, competing to succeed incumbent Andraé Evans, who was not on the ballot amid misconduct allegations.
Perticone, a longtime Town Board member, campaigned on experience and stability after months of controversy in town government.
Costanza, a former town assessor and Air Force veteran, faced misdemeanor charges of official misconduct and conflict-of-interest violations tied to his time in office. He denied the allegations and centered his campaign on fiscal responsibility and transparency
