ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Democrat Jeff McCann was elected Greece Town Supervisor on Tuesday, defeating Republican Bill Murphy and ending more than two decades of GOP leadership in Monroe County’s largest suburb.
Republican Bill Murphy and Democrat Jeff McCann faced off in the race to succeed longtime Town Supervisor Bill Reilich, who did not seek reelection.
Murphy, a Town Board member, campaigned on restoring “honest and transparent government,” fiscal responsibility, and community safety. His platform emphasized collaboration with local businesses, responsible development, and reintroducing the School Resource Officer Program to enhance school safety.
