It’s early as Maricopa County Elections posted initial Election Day results Tuesday night, but a trend may be turning for Deer Valley Unified School District.
In the first unofficial results issued, voters within the Deer Valley Unified School District’s boundaries who favor continuing the maintenance and operations budget override are holding a slight edge.
As of 8 p.m., the measure held a slim 51%-49% lead.
That’s notable considering the same measure failed at the ballot box the past two consecutive Novembers, in 2024 and 2023.
One year ago almost to the day, voters turned away the override continuation by a 53% to 47% margin. In November 2023, the measure failed 55% to 45%.
