Early election results Tuesday showed Annmarie Jensen, Saul Tapia Vega, Adam Gianola and Crystal Gallegos leading in the race for four at-large seats on the Lafayette City Council.
As of 7:45 p.m., Jensen had 16.1% of the vote, Tapia Vega had 14.9%, Gianola had 13.5% and Gallegos had 12.8%. Once all ballots are counted, the three candidates with the highest number of votes will serve four-year terms on the City Council and the fourth candidate will serve for two years.
Tapia Vega and Gallegos are incumbents. Gallegos was elected to the City Council by voters in 2023, and Tapia Vega was appointed to the council in 2023 to fill a vacated seat.
