Lance Nichols did not have to stay up late on election night to find out whether or not he won the Weld RE-4 Board of Education District C race.
Nichols, who is currently president of the Weld RE-4 School District Board of Education, ran unopposed in Tuesday’s election.
When asked if he thought not having an opponent in the race was the result of his constituents being satisfied with his performance or if no one else wanted the job, Nichols replied, “it’s probably a little bit of both.”
“Hopefully … people think I’m doing a good job,” Nichols said Tuesday. “If it’s working, there’s no reason to change things.”
In August, Nichols received the Colorado Association of School Boards’ McGuffey Award.
