Srinagar, Nov 05: A midnight fire broke out in Old Fateh Kadal, Srinagar, damaging three residential houses and leaving one firefighter injured, officials confirmed.

An official said the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Babdem unit made the initial turnout, with reinforcements dispatched from Shaheed Gunj, Habba Kadal, and Safa Kadal stations.

“The fire was intense, but timely response contained it and prevented further damage,” a F&ES official said.

The injured firefighter was immediately evacuated to a hospital for treatment, he added.

He said the exact cause of the blaze is under investigation. (KNC)
