GLOVERSVILLE — In addition to a new mayor to succeed Vincent DeSantis, Gloversville voters named four new members to its common council in Tuesday's election.
Republican and Gloversville First nominee Pamela J. Bray defeated Democrat Jesse Dunkleberger, 270-170, for the 3rd Ward seat to succeed Betsy Batchelor.
Gregory M. Hitchcock, a Republican, was uncontested and took 199 votes to succeed Marcia Weiss in the 1st Ward.
Lynn M. Rubscha, a Republican, was uncontested and took 285 votes to succeed Jay Zarelli in the 5th Ward.
William A. Roback, Jr., the Republican and Gloversville First nominee, defeated Jeremy M. Krajewski, 1,191-621, for the Councilman-at-large seat to succeed Wayne Peters.
