From Saturday, November 1, through Monday, November 10, EL TIEMPO will provide special coverage of the CELAC-EU Summit , an event that brings together leaders from Latin American and Caribbean countries and the European Union with the aim of strengthening relations between the two regions.

The name CELAC-EU comes from the acronym: Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the European Union, and refers to a mechanism that brings together 33 countries to promote the socioeconomic development of the region.
The first version of this summit was held in Santiago, Chile, in 2013, with subsequent versions held in 2015 and 2023. On April 9, 2025, Colombia assumed the Pro Tempore Presidency of CELAC for the 2025–2026 period , thereby establishing it
