SALINE, MI — Saline voters approved three ballot proposals at the polls Tuesday, Nov. 4.
A previously approved millage for improving streets, sidewalks, bicycle paths, traffic signals and other related work will continue. A 1-mill property tax levy will be extended for three years, 2027-2029.
The street millage renewal received 1777 “yes” votes and 901 “no” votes.
The property tax levy will raise an estimated $600,000 in the first year of the renewal. A resident who owns a $200,000 home would pay about $100 a year for the millage.
Voters in the city also approved two amendments to the city’s charter.
