SALISBURY — A dozen community members gathered on Monday outside the Rowan County Administrative Office to hear a press conference held by the Down Home North Carolina Rowan County chapter. Focusing on the limited funding for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program due to the government shutdown, the group talked about how its organization is moving forward.
Down Home North Carolina has chapters in 12 counties across rural parts of the state and each was hosting press conferences today concurrently with the county commissioner meetings happening.
