California voters have approved Proposition 50, handing Democrats partisan Congressional districts for the next several years.
Media outlets, including the Associated Press, called the race shortly after polls closed Tuesday evening.
The result: With around six million votes counted shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, the California Secretary of State’s Office reported that Prop. 50 was passing with nearly 65% support.
