Strong winds will sweep across central Pennsylvania Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, with gusts potentially exceeding 50 mph in some areas.
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for much of the region and Wind Advisories for surrounding counties.
The powerful winds will accompany a cold front bringing rain showers on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts could reach 50-55 mph between 1 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, with the highest winds expected along the Allegheny Mountains.
