Swing Bridge has served Sarasota for 100 years, appeared in movies

OSPREY – Scott Lewis grew up as a latchkey kid who loved to ride his bike everywhere and frequently found himself at the old Stickney Point Road bridge which — back then — was a cousin of the now historic Blackburn Point Road Swing Bridge .

A special treat was helping the bridge tender open and close that old swing bridge.
