MENTOR, Ohio – Mentor school board president Maggie Cook and her allies held onto control of the district Tuesday, defeating a conservative slate that sought to reshape the board around culture-war issues.
According to unofficial results from the Lake County Board of Elections, Cook received 7,876 votes (18.33%), followed by Robert Haag with 7,372 votes (17.16%) and Daniel Hardesty with 7,156 votes (16.66%) — securing the three open at-large seats.
