The Tulpehocken offense got out and running early and often, using a first-half offensive surge, including goals by four different players in a 4-0 victory over Juniata in the opening round of the PIAA Class 2A boys soccer playoffs Tuesday night at Mifflin County’s Chapman Stadium.
Connor Hussman, Van Koch, Graeson Reese and Leshane Christ all found the back of the net in the Trojans victory. Juniata goalkeeper Nolan Imes was terrific in defeat, recording 13 saves for the Indians, including several acrobatic saves that kept Juniata within striking distance in the opening half.
The Trojans successfully maintained possession for a large portion of the second half, continuing to put together scoring opportunities, including a pair of second half goals by Reese and Christ.
