At 2:37 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from 1 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Northern Clinton, Northern Centre, Southern Centre, Northern Lycoming, Southern Clinton and Southern Lycoming as well as Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Tioga, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia and Schuylkill counties.
The weather service states, “West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts between 45 and 55 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
