Senator Speaks Out

A Nebraska state senator is changing his tune after a recent allegation accused him of groping a woman at a party this spring.

Legal representatives for Senator Dan McKeon shared a statement on his behalf saying “I have taken responsibility for attempting humor in the wrong moment and tone. I am sorry for that. But I did not engage in sexual misconduct, much less public lewd fondling or caressing.” The statement added “Most of my constituents enjoy my sense of humor.” McKeon is still facing calls to resign.
