Newsmax anchor Chris Cuomo covered his brother Andrew 's loss in the New York City mayoral election live on air Tuesday (November 4) night.

The younger Cuomo was behind the desk when Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani was officially called as the winner of the race, defeating the former New York governor handedly.

“Of course I wanted my brother to win,” the anchor said.

“I believe in my brother. I think he’s a tremendous operator within government. But he’s not what Democrats want right now in their party,” he added.

“And Democrats win in New York City… I mean, that’s the one-line analysis is, the Democrat was gonna win in New York City,” the younger Cuomo continued.
