NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A United States congresswoman representing the Lowcountry says she is filing a defamation lawsuit over “misleading” incident reports.
Republican Representative Nancy Mace (SC-01), who is also running to be South Carolina’s next governor, has retained legal counsel ahead of planned litigation against both American Airlines and the Charleston International Airport. She alleges that airport and airline employees “coordinated and conspired to create false and misleading incident reports” regarding events that took place at that airport early Thursday.
Mace was accused in those incident reports of berating airport police and staff, allegedly being “very irate” and using derogatory and profane language toward the staff.
