TRAVERSE CITY — Incumbent Mayor Amy Shamroe retained her seat and city commission filled seats with some new faces in the Nov. 4 elections.

Shamroe won her race against Tim Werner by a vote margin of 2,574 to 2,369.

In a Nov. 4 Facebook post, Shamroe shared her reaction to the win.

“Thank you, Traverse City!” Shamroe said. “I’m looking forward to leading our community for the next two years!”

The Traverser City Commission will also add three new members after candidates Lance Boehmer, and Laura Ness and Kenneth M. Funk received enough votes to secure seats.
