SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Travel South Dakota will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at the Rose Parade on Jan. 1, 2026, showcasing the state’s spirit and beauty with its stunning float, “Carved in Stone; A Legacy of Teamwork.”
Highlights include iconic symbols like Mount Rushmore, nearly 40,000 floral elements such as corn and sunflowers, and representations of South Dakota’s beauty and culture, including the Dignity: of Earth and Sky sculpture.
“As we kick off 2026 and our nation’s 250 th birthday, our goal is to showcase the majesty of South Dakota to millions of viewers watching the parade around the world,” said James Hagen, Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Tourism.
