PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The threat of severe weather increases across the Pacific Northwest Wednesday as a KOIN 6 Weather Alert goes into place.

Wet, windy and potentially stormy weather returns to the Pacific Northwest with the second fall storm of this week arriving on Wednesday. Much of western Oregon and southwest Washington will see soaking rains and gusty winds throughout the day on Wednesday. Rain accumulation will push close to an inch by the end of the storm on Thursday evening. Area winds are also expected to gust close to 30-40 mph.
