Agartala, 5 th November 2025: Two Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Sagar Das and Bikash Das from the Cumilla district of Bangladesh, were captured by local residents in the Bachai Bari area under Khowai’s Champahaor police station while allegedly attempting to flee in a vehicle. The duo was reportedly assaulted by the crowd before being handed over to the police.

Both men sustained serious injuries and were first admitted to Khowai District Hospital, from where they were later referred to Agartala for advanced medical treatment.
