A cold front will sweep through central Pennsylvania today, bringing light rain and wind gusts exceeding 45 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the region from 1 p.m. Wednesday through 10 a.m. Thursday.

Wind gusts could reach 45 to 50 mph across most areas this afternoon and evening, with some ridge locations and areas east of mountain gaps possibly experiencing gusts above 60 mph.

Before the winds intensify, temperatures will climb to unusually warm levels. The high today in the Harrisburg area is supposed to be about 70 degrees.
