EUFAULA, Al. (WRBL) — A teenage boy is behind bars after he committed several vehicle thefts and led police on chases in two different cities.
The Eufaula Police Department says on Oct. 31, Tywon Jackson, 18, stole a vehicle from a gas station on South Eufaula Avenue. Police say Jackson drove the vehicle to Montgomery where a small police chase ensued, but Jackson eluded police shortly after.
Jackson eventually made it back to Eufaula where police were waiting for his arrival. After another police chase, the tires on Jackson's car were spiked and the vehicle he was driving came to a stop at the same gas station he stole the car from.
According to EPD, after Jackson was in custody, he admitted to several other vehicle thefts and other crimes.
