MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say a man in Wisconsin is now in custody on multiple charges after robbing a store before spitting on both employees and a police officer.

According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers responded at 7:19 p.m. Monday night to a business on the 100 block of North Broom Street for reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, the staff at the business told police that a man had stolen a few items from the store, and after being confronted, he spat on an employee before fleeing the scene.

Officers found the suspect, 61-year-old Jose A. Lino, on the 300 block of State Street, and while attempting to arrest him, he spat on an officer.
