Edmonton police are hoping to find the people who intervened after a woman was sexually assaulted near Whyte Avenue in August.
On Aug. 22, a woman was walking near Whyte Avenue and 107 Street between 11:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. when she was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted, police said in a Tuesday news release.
A vehicle travelling down 107 Street heard the woman screaming and stopped to help, at which point the assaulter ran away. The people in the vehicle offered the woman a ride out of the area.

Police said the investigation has stalled and are asking those who helped the victim to come forward and give any information they might have to move the case forward.
