DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- Two arrests have been made after a lengthy investigation into a sex trafficking ring in eastern Covington County.
According to the Covington County Sheriff's Office, officers with the Opp Police Department and deputies with the CCSO have been watching activity at the Opp Motor Lodge for several months after learning that a sex trafficking ring could be operating out of the business.
The investigation included tracking down leads, monitoring activity at the motel, and coordinating with multiple law enforcement agencies.
Sheriff Blake Turman said that on November 4, investigators arrested Dixitkumar Patel and Ketan Na Talati. Patel and Talati worked at the Opp Motor Lodge.
