NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The season of giving is here, and Lowcountry Orphan Relief could use your help as they collect everyday essentials for local children in crisis.

The North Charleston-based nonprofit provides items and services to children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

One of the initiatives that helps Lowcountry Orphan Relief keep items on the shelves is through its annual stocking drive. People can sign up to receive a small red stocking with a slip of suggested items to purchase.

The slip includes gender, age, and a list of suggested items that will be given to children in a time of need, like clothing, shoes, toiletries, and a comfort item like a stuffed animal.
