Two recent events have supported Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings’ mission of creating affordable home ownership for residents in the two counties.
The charity’s Nov. 1 Rock Solid Bonspiel at the Quinte Curling Club raised $8,250.

Three days later, the Rona Foundation announced its Home Sweet Home campaign would donate more than $4,000 to the local Habitat branch.
Eight teams of curlers competed in the second-annual bonspiel, which was sponsored by BDC, Cambium, McDougall Insurance, and Topper’s Pizza Belleville.
“Today was a true team effort, and we’re so grateful to the partners who helped us keep the momentum rolling,” said Hazzem Koudsi, the local Habitat’s chief executive officer, in a news release.
