Southeast Public Health is reminding parents and guardians to make sure that their school-aged children have up-to-date vaccination records, as required by Ontario’s Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA).
According to the ISPA, all elementary and secondary school students must either “be immunized or have a valid exemption on record” for a list of diseases that SEPH outlined in a media release on Wednesday.

Those diseases include measles, mumps, rubella, diptheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis, meningococcal disease, plus varicella (chickenpox) for children born in 2010 or later.
