At the SoFlo Grounded Site Launch event in Overtown’s Performing Arts Center, advocates and community members met Sunday to not only honor the neighborhood’s legacy, but workshop solutions that might benefit its future.

Brought together by the budding community justice group, attendees split off into groups for hour-long discussions on how they would solve two pressing issues that South Florida’s Black community faces: education disparities and food insecurity.
