CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) acknowledged the results of the November 4 bond referendum vote, which fell just short of the required 60 percent approval.

The initial count showed 59.3 percent of voters supported the measure, highlighting strong community engagement.

"We are deeply grateful to the 59.3 percent of voters who supported our students and schools," said Dr. Tawana Grover, Superintendent of Cedar Rapids Community School District. "Your belief in our vision for safe, accessible, and innovative learning spaces fuels our resolve."

The bond proposal aimed to modernize learning environments at several schools. Despite the outcome, CRCSD says it remains committed to finding solutions for aging buildings and space limitations.
