At 10:48 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory valid for Thursday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast.
The weather service comments, “Minor coastal flooding expected.”
“Low-lying roadways may be closed. Low-lying property, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur,” explains the weather service. “If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Stay away from the surf zone and off of jetties. Area beaches may become hazardous due to dangerous surf conditions.”
