COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS/WCSC) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson’s office will be the center of a state committee hearing on Wednesday.
The Senate Legislative Oversight Committee will hold a review of the attorney general’s office at 1 p.m. in Columbia.
Wilson, who’s running for governor in 2026, said Tuesday that every agency in the state goes through oversight every seven years and that this happens to be his office’s year. He also said he testified earlier this year as part of the review process.
US Rep. Nancy Mace, one of Wilson’s Republican primary opponents, has claimed Wilson’s office is under investigation and that the hearing was called to look into allegations against him.
The committee’s agenda does not state any further information other than the hearing for the atto
