INDIANAPOLIS — The Pacers intend to sign free agent forward Cody Martin to a 10-day hardship exception contract as they navigate a brutal stretch of injuries to start the season, league sources confirmed to IndyStar on Wednesday morning.
Martin will become the second forward the Pacers have signed to a hardship exception contract over the last week as they signed Jeremiah Robinson-Earl on Saturday. The Pacers also signed guard Mac McClung on Oct. 27 to address the injury issues, though he is on a non-guaranteed multi-year contract as opposed to a hardship exception.
