BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The California City Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old boy.

Police said Roman Lopez, 14, was reported missing Tuesday at around 10 a.m.

Lopez is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a thin build and black hair and brown eyes. Police said he was last seen wearing a black tank top, black sweat pants and black shoes. He was spotted leaving a home on Carol Avenue in Mojave at around 6 p.m., police said.

The police department did not release a photograph of Lopez.

Anyone with information on Lopez's whereabouts is asked to call the California City Police Department at 760-373-8606.
