BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The NCAA's committee on infractions has penalized a former Indiana University volleyball coach who placed over $327,000 in bets during his tenure with the Hoosiers.
According to an NCAA case summary, Brett Agne made numerous "impermissible bets" on professional and college athletic events while he was at IU. The NCAA reported that its investigators combed through more than 700 bets that were placed over a five-month period during their examination of Agne's case.
Per a case summary, investigators began to examine Agne's case when they received a report on April 29, 2024, that indicated he had "engaged in substantial sports wagering activities using online betting platforms."
