OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man accused of shooting at Washington County deputies before he was shot and taken into custody in January has been sentenced.

David Boettcher , 48, pleaded no contest on Tuesday to charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, use of a firearm to commit af elony and attempted 1st-degree assault.

Judge Zachary Blackman presided over the hearing and sentenced Boettcher to 70-90 years of incarceration.

Several charges were dropped, including habitual criminal, possession of meth, use of a firearm to commit a felony, attempted 2nd-degree assault and intentional child abuse without injury.

The litany of charges stem from a traffic stop that escalated into a shootout in Arlington, Neb.
