A veteran of the Hollywood Police Department has been placed on administrative leave as he faces allegations of domestic violence, Chief Jeff Devlin said in a statement Wednesday.

Miramar Police is investigating the allegations against Lt. Osvaldo Perez, who has been with the police department for 25 years. The chief’s statement did not provide details about the accusations against Perez.

Broward County court records show Perez, 50, is facing two felony charges of aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older and battery on a person 65 years of age or older. A redacted arrest warrant said he allegedly grabbed and pushed the victim into a parked car, causing the person to fall down and fracture her shoulder.
