Marquez Valdes-Scantling was a fresh face on the practice field Wednesday in Pittsburgh, but he’s not lacking for familiarity. His next-door neighbor in the Steelers locker room is “one of my closest friends in this NFL thing that I’ve ever made.”
That would be Aaron Rodgers, who helped bring along Valdes-Scantling as a fifth-round draft pick of the Packers from 2018-21 out of South Florida. Those two have had a few missed connections since then to reunite, but now they’re back together again at last with the Steelers.
