Kemon Spell was only in the game for three plays when McKeesport and Thomas Jefferson squared off during the regular season.
Now, though, his ankle is completely healed. And he showed the Jaguars and everyone else exactly why he is the top-rated running back in the country in the Class of 2027.
Spell ran over, around and through the Thomas Jefferson defense as he electrified the capacity crowd at Chartiers Valley High School. The McKeesport junior finished with 17 carries for 331 yards and three touchdowns, including an incredible 97-yard burst early in the second quarter to lead the No. 1 Tigers (9-3) to a 28-3 victory against the Jaguars (9-3) in the WPIAL Class 4A semifinals.
Their win not only earned them a spot in the WPIAL Class 4A championship game Nov. 15 at noon at Pine-Richlan
