In 2026, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will make the largest paving investment in state history, resurfacing over 2,000 lane miles across New York.
More than 180 projects are planned across every region of the state. Governor Kathy Hochul secured $800 million to cover the $600 million cost of these projects. This investment is part of the State’s $34.4 billion, five-year Capital Plan—the largest in NYSDOT history.
“I’m grateful for Gov. Hochul’s investment in these paving projects across the state, including more than 350 miles of roads here in our region,” said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello.
Seventeen projects are planned throughout the Finger Lakes region, covering 359 lane miles at a cost of $46 million.
