With 65.98 percent of the vote, Scott Tigchelaar won the mayoral election in Senoia against incumbent William "Dub" Pearman III.

In an interview after the election, Tigchelaar credited his win to having a clear vision of what he wanted to do in Senoia.

The mayor-elect said he communicated with Senoia residents and understood their frustrations with the city's direction.

"They want to get back on track and get a better sense of the direction Senoia is going, and we're managing the process better and more transparently," he said.

With Senoia's growth, Tigchelaar said the city has become a victim of its own success, but he still believes the city's residents have a unified vision for Senoia.
