PANOLA COUNTY, Miss. (WMC) - A Panola County prosecuting attorney is accused of drunk driving.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Gaines Baker was cited for DUI after a single-vehicle collision on Halloween.

The sheriff’s office says the crash occurred along Bell Road, located just north of Enid Lake within county limits.

Deputies responded to the 911 call on October 31 and found Baker, the driver and sole occupant, sitting in the passenger seat of his vehicle at the scene.

Deputies reported that Baker appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was asked to complete various field sobriety tests, to which he consented.

PCSO says Baker attempted to complete a breathalyzer test, but was unable to provide an adequate sample.
