Notre Dame football will face Auburn for a home-and-home series beginning in 2027 and concluding in 2028, it announced Wednesday.
The Irish will host the Tigers on Sept. 25, 2027, at Notre Dame Stadium and will make a return trip to Auburn, Alabama, on Oct. 28, 2028.
It will be the first time Notre Dame and Auburn have played, leaving only Mississippi State and Kentucky among Southeastern Conference schools the Irish have never faced. They played Arkansas for the first time this season and won 56-13.
The trip to Auburn in 2028 will mark Notre Dame's first to the state of Alabama since 1986. It adds yet another marquee game to a '28 schedule that already featured matchups with Texas, Arkansas, Clemson, Miami (Florida) and Virginia Tech.
